Mother & Son Pass Odisha Board Matriculation Results

A mother-son duo cleared the Odisha Board matric exam for the academic period 2017-2018 with same grade. The Odisha Board Class 10th results were released recently on Monday, May 7, 2018. Both of them from Laxmannath village under Jaleswar block of Balasore dist. in Odisha.

The 35-year-old female, Tapai Khatua, of Laxmannath village has passed the Odisha matriculation examination through the open schooling system. She took the examination at Bagpunji Open School Centre and scored grade B2. Her son Bikash Kumar Khatua, aged 16, cracked the annual examination by sitting fr the test in regular mode scoring B2 grade.

“I had lost the public examination in the year 1999. My parents had me wedded (with Ramesh Chandra Khatua) the succeeding year. Though I was readying to take the examination, situations didn’t had me an option after my matrimonial. I set to retake with my son this year. I am really joyful that we both qualified, told Tapai Khatua. The son wrote the examination at Simanta High School in Laxmannath.
